David Deutsch is a British physicist widely regarded as the father of quantum computing. Based at the University of Oxford, he is a visiting professor in the Department of Atomic and Laser Physics and a key figure at the Centre for Quantum Computation. David revolutionized physics by introducing the concept of the Quantum Turing Machine and developing one of the first quantum algorithms.
His work laid the foundation for modern quantum computers. He’s also a passionate advocate for the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics. He has famously authored two books namely The Fabric of Reality and The Beginning of Infinity.
